How Dare you?
How dare you really? Seriously honey, I know when you’re struggling the voice in your head is playing havoc with what you’re feeling and how you’re living your life!
Honestly, would you talk to your best friend, the way that you talk to yourself?
No I don’t think so!
This is a question that I always ask my clients and I always get the same answer. Of course we wouldn’t speak to anyone the way that we speak to ourselves. So, what makes us think that it is ok to speak to ourselves so badly? Its bloody ridiculous - let me tell you!
Most of the time I bet you won’t even realise that you are speaking to yourself in such a derogatory manner!
If we have 60-80 thousand thoughts every day then how many of our thoughts do you think are thoughts where you are being unkind to yourself?
How many thoughts are you having that you are saying horrible things to yourself? Judging yourself unnecessarily?
You’ve more than likely had a habit of doing this for as long as you can remember and now its become a habit, but a nasty bad habit that well and truly makes you feel totally crap about yourself.
Let me explain how your brain works in relation to this and why it’s so important to take action TODAY.!
Your brain is like your best friend and if you tell it something, it will look for the evidence to make you right. Here is an example which I’ve seen thousands of times when I used to specialise in weight loss;
If you are to constantly tell yourself that you are ‘fat’ then no matter how much you try and reduce your food intake or work out then 2 things will happed-
This can be transferred to “Im too thick”, ‘I am not good enough”, “I am unloveable” or whatever you may be telling yourself…
And over time you’re just going to feel worse about yourself.
This part is really important READ CAREFULLY; if you are not ‘at ease’ in your mind and your body you’re at ‘dis-ease’ (another blog coming soon to bring you more details on this)
It is so so important for you to start talking to yourself in a kind and loving way that is supportive and nurturing! At first this may feel uncomfortable, but so is your first run or spin class if you’ve never done it before.
You have to keep working through, for YOU!
For your kids, your partner and for YOU and the people that will be inspired by your transformation.
I once was that person too. I told myself all kinds of nasties but NO MORE! I deserve the best and so do you!
Lets do this
Repeat after me;
I DESERVE THE BEST
I AM LOVEABLE
I AM WORTHY
I AM SAFE
I CAN LOVE MYSELF
I CHOOSE PEACE
Repeat daily, for the rest of your life!
Love and light
